"You want to peep the horror? Here..."
―Jeremy Elbertson

"Peep the Horror" is a highly dangerous but popular Jerma segment and meme existing within a viewer's possibly prophetic dream. It is the subject of many mixed emotions and fan interpretations.

Origins[]

"Peep the Horror" refers to a post on tumblr where an unidentified and perhaps dangerous individual described having a dream about the presumable future of a famous streamer, Jeremy "Jerma985" Elbertson. Fans have speculated that this person could be a "remote viewer"; a person who possesses a type of psychic ability to view remote places or future events through psychic means. The veracity of these claims has been up to much speculation.

The person describes a dream he had. Jeremy "Jerma985" Elbertson became a mainstream celebrity after pioneering a new type of stream, where he'd play a game like normal, but every once in a while he'd allow the chat to "peep the horror", showing a bizarre, AI-generated-looking image of a red, pulsating mass on the screen. Anyone who saw it thought it was literally the funniest thing they'd ever seen, but every time it was displayed, a viewer would die.

The poster went on to explain that, during one fateful stream, "the Horror" was shown, and Jerma, like all people, not immune to the effects, suddenly dropped dead. The stream was kept live for an additional 72 hours to honor his memory, dead quiet with nothing but Jerma's dead body and "the horror" pulsating on the screen beside him.

Speculation[]

Skeptics and independent Internet sleuths have concluded that the events described in the dream have never happened. However, the overall consensus amongst Jerma's fanbase, due to Jerma's past history of indescribable Lovecraftian horror-related behavior and sacrificial murders of random long time subscribers, that the "peep the horror" tale is real in some way.

Most psychotic Jerma fans love and accept the possibility of "the horror"; however, some Jerma fans have become incredibly paranoid, occasionally turning their gaze away during streams, muting the stream or shutting their eyes tight, terrified that Jerma will give them a "peep" of "the horror".

Further research on "the horror" suggests that surviving viewers of the stream gradually lose their sanity, possibly to the horror itself. Viewers that succumb to "the horror" act frantically, almost as deranged as Jerma himself, these people are referred to as "Peeping Toms".

Many speculate that “the horror” exists not physically, but rather conceptually. This proposition would suggest that “the horror” exists in the minds of those that perceive it and continues to exist as long as even a single sentient creature is aware about its existence. In other words, “the horror” exists only when there is someone or something intelligent to make it exist.

The Horror itself made an appearance at Jermania 2021, partnering with Jigsaw in the tag-team match to create "Team Jerma Horror" and competing in the main rumble event.

After an underwhelming performance and a few questionable referee decisions, "Team Jerma Horror" was defeated in the first match by "Team Resident Evil". The Horror went on to help Catboy Jerma eliminate Silly Zilly Wonka from the rumble, before being sent over the top ropes by Chris Redfield, who had coincidentally been a member of "Team Resident Evil" that had defeated The Horror earlier in the event.
